Rivza

Professor of Economics at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, B. Rivza is a former Minister of Education and Science of Latvia. She currently serves as the President of the Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences of Latvia and is a member of the Presidium of the Latvian Academy of Sciences. Additionally, she is a foreign member of several prestigious institutions, including the Swedish Royal Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, the Academia dei Georgofili, and the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. She is also Vice Chair of the Latvia Council of Higher Education and President of the Latvia University Professors Association.

As an expert in economics, Rivza serves on the European Academy of Sciences’ Academic Advisory Board (EASAC). She co-authored the research paper “Circular Economy: A Commentary from the Perspectives of the Natural and Social Sciences” (www.easac.eu). Over her career, she has taken on numerous expert roles for the European Council, specializing in project identification, formulation, monitoring, evaluation, and troubleshooting, along with providing training and other services.
