A. Krauze hails from a family that has lived in Riga for several generations. In 1988, he completed his studies at Vecbebru Technical College with a specialization in beekeeping. He furthered his education at the Agricultural University of Latvia, earning a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and horticulture in 1996, followed by a master’s degree in agriculture in 2000. He also manages a bee apiary in Sigulda County.
Since March 2000, Krauze has served as the chairman of the board of the Latvian Beekeeping Society and the chairman of the board of the Cooperation Council of Farmers’ Organizations. He previously held a seat on the Council of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stepping down after his election to the Saeima. Additionally, Krauze was a board member of the Cooperation Council of Farmers’ Organizations (LOSP) and represented farmers in the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).
In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the IV Class Cross of Merit in 2014.
