Daunis Auers is the Research Director at the Certus think-tank and an Associate Professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Latvia. He also served as a Jean Monnet Professor of European Integration from 2013 to 2016. Auers has held prestigious international scholarships, including being a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California-Berkeley (2005-2006) and a Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Scholar at Wayne State University in Detroit (2014). He has published extensively on Baltic and European politics, with his most notable work being The Comparative Government and Politics of the Baltic States: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the 21st Century, published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2015. Auers is widely recognized for his expertise in Baltic political systems and European integration.
