Ina Gudele is a Latvian engineer, academic, and former government official who has made significant contributions to Latvia’s public and private sectors, particularly in information technology and e-governance. Born on June 12, 1964, she graduated in water engineering from the Riga Polytechnic Institute in 1988. She began her career working as a designer in an architectural office before transitioning to the telecommunications industry. From 1991 to 2000, Gudele was associated with Lattelekom, where she managed the internet services division, contributing to the development of Latvia’s digital landscape.

In 2006, she was appointed as the Minister for E-Government Affairs, serving in this role until 2008. Her tenure spanned across the governments of Aigars Kalvītis and Ivars Godmanis. As a minister, she focused on enhancing Latvia’s e-governance capabilities, a key step towards modernizing public administration in the country.

Following her government career, Gudele shifted to consulting and academia. She has taught at the Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration (RISEBA) and resumed her executive role at the Latvian Internet Association in 2018, continuing her focus on business development and digital transformation.

Her work has been pivotal in shaping Latvia’s digital infrastructure and fostering innovation in both the public and private sectors
