Mr. Ints Dālderis transitioned into politics in 2006 after an accomplished career in classical music both in Latvia and abroad. He became a member of the National Board of Culture and joined the Council of the State Culture Capital Foundation. In 2009, Dālderis was appointed Minister of Culture for the Republic of Latvia and also serves as a member of the ICD Advisory Board.
Dālderis began his musical journey at the Jāzeps Mediņš Secondary School of Music and later graduated from the prestigious Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. In 1999, he joined the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra as a clarinetist, and in 2005, he became its director, serving in that role for four years.
In addition to his work with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Dālderis has collaborated with ensembles such as the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, Latvian National Opera Orchestra, and the Nordic Symphony Orchestra. Since 2005, he has also been a lecturer at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music.
