Jānis Reirs, born on September 23, 1961, in Riga, is a Latvian politician and businessman. He has served in key government roles, including Minister of Electronic Government Affairs, Minister of Welfare, and Minister of Finance. Reirs is a long-time member of the Saeima and currently serves in its 14th convocation, representing the “Unity” party (formerly “New Time”). He holds a degree from the University of Latvia in Economics and Management and has held leadership positions in various businesses, including as chairman of the board of the Dobele chemical plant “Spodrība” and a partner at “Prudentia.”
